Prediction markets
Series, events and markets (Polymarket structure)
The three levels Polymarket uses to organise questions: a series groups recurring events, an event groups related markets, and a market is one tradable Yes/No contract.
"NBA 2027 Champion" is an event; each team is a market within it. Weekly recurring questions such as "Bitcoin above $X on Friday" belong to a series. BetG8's market pages correspond to Polymarket events, showing every market inside them.
The structure matters for reading data: event volume is the sum of its markets, and a NegRisk event links its markets so prices stay consistent.
Kalshi uses series, events and markets with similar meaning, identified by tickers rather than slugs.
