Scorecard

A market that prices the eventual outcome at 50% the day before is getting it wrong in the simplest sense, but a single market says little about calibration. Across many markets, outcomes priced at 70% should happen about 70% of the time. See the monthly scorecard for the aggregate record.

Resolution rules

Lionel Messi is scheduled to play his final match for the Argentina men's national team against Benin at the Estadio Monumental in Buenos Aires on October 6, 2026, at 7:00 PM ET. This market will resolve to the bracket corresponding to the number of minutes Lionel Messi plays in this match. Minutes played equal Messi's departure minute minus his entry minute, as shown on the official match report. The entry minute is 0 if he starts the match, or the minute of his substitution if he enters as a substitute. The departure minute is 90 if he is on the field at the final whistle, or the minute in which he is substituted off, sent off or otherwise leaves the match. A substitution or departure during first-half stoppage time counts as the 45th minute and one during second-half stoppage time counts as the 90th minute, regardless of the amount of stoppage time played. For example, a starter substituted off in the 83rd minute is credited with 83 minutes, a starter substituted off at 90+2 is credited with 90 minutes, and a substitute entering in the 60th minute who finishes the match is credited with 30 minutes. If Messi does not take the field, he is credited with 0 minutes. Each bracket includes both of its listed bounds. The "45 or fewer" bracket includes 0 minutes. The "90" bracket applies when Messi is credited with exactly 90 minutes under the rules above, which includes a starter who finishes the match and a starter who is substituted off during second-half stoppage time. If the match is abandoned after kickoff and not replayed, minutes are credited as of the abandonment, with the minute of abandonment treated as the departure minute. If the match is postponed to a date on or before October 20, 2026, this market will resolve based on the rescheduled match. If the match is cancelled, or is not completed by October 20, 2026, 11:59 PM ET for any reason, including postponement beyond that date, this market will resolve to "45 or fewer&qu
